 It's A New World

((hey guys, apparently I am going to be the admin unti Isa can come on and be active again so it is time to start the class, please check the office for those details))

Ah, Amanda was new to this whole teaching thing. be she guessed she was just going to have to learn. Not that she didn't have experiance, she was an amazing rider though she would neversay such a thing, and she was also quite a good trainer. But this teaching thing, that was completely new to her. And frankly, it scare her like crasy. She really didn't know how to start. She would just have to take a deep breath and just help them improve, just like the tips she had been giving out for so long. It wasn't like she didn't know what she was doing, she could do this just fine.

Black paddock boots padded along the stalls of horses. Though it was obvious that the boots were taken care of they weren''t in top condition. Well, it didn't matter. Clean light wacsh jeans rested on the hips of a tall blond who wore a bright orange tank top. Ontop of this she wore a red unbuttoned short sleeved shirt. As a rule Amanda Wynter didn't really bother with ehr appearance. Today she had put in the slightest effort, just to try and make an okay first impression. Her hair was up in a ponytail to keep it out of her way and she was wearing her classic bright colors.

And just to keep things usual she walked to the stall of a tall black arabian stallion. Letting herself into the stall Amanda groomed the stallion's coat till he was almost ready for a show before tacking him up with his black leather tack. Zipping on her black half chaps she grabbed her helmet, lead hi out of the barn and mounted. She headed for one of the trails, maybe the cross country course, she had to exersize him. And she figured she might as well exersize him before the lesson seeing as she had plenty of time and it would help her get all of her thoughts under control.

Amanda led the stallion to the cross country course. The two of them worked together quite well. Though the stallion was only five and a half he had been bred at the farm Amanda lived on and she had been working with him her whole life. The colts mother had been the mare that Amanda had learned to jump on. She had been an ecelent jumper, and her son was following in her footsteps.

The two of them moved through the gaits together with ease, walk, trot, canter. Once they reached this top gait they had approached the first jump and soared over it. Unfortunatly that was all they had tim for, one look at Amanda's watch told her that much. Okay, so punctuality had never been Amanda's stregnth. Besides, she had wanted to get to the ring a little early to make sure that the jumps were all at a good height and that she wouldn't make a complete fool of herself durring their first lesson.

Amanda egged the stallion into a gallop which wasn't exactly hard and the pair of them shot back toward the ring. Glad to see that no one was in the ring when they arrived Amanda led her horse inside the ring. Lettingh im walk and catch his breath Amanda clucked him bak into a canter and the two of them set off over a course of jumps before Amanda looked back at her watch. 12:55 she dismounted and tied the reigns of the stallion to a legnth of twine that she tied around the fence of the ring. Leaning on the slab of wood Amanda waited for the beggining of her first lesson. Wow, she was surprised she wasn't wearing her oh so classic cow boy hat like she often did.

Well, it seemed that Misty was finally going to get to ride. It was about time. She was anxious to start lessons. But first things first. She had to find her horse. She was supposed to be riding a mare named Pixie. Fortunately, Pixie wasn't hard to find. She tacked the mare up quickly, already running a bit late for her lesson. Pixie seemd to be rather spirited. But Misty liked it that way. In some ways, the mare reminded Misty of her thoroughbred at home, Cyanide. Finally ready, she led the mare out of the barn and headed for the outdoor ring.

She didn't look much like a horse person. She was dressed entirely in black. Black shirt under a black jacket. Black pants. Black paddock boots. Hidden beneath the sleeves of the jacket were seven watches and fourteen bracelets. Around her neck she had a chain of paper clips. Many people thought this was kind of odd, but she didn't really care what they thought. She had no need for friends. Horses were all that really mattered. People were so unreliable. You never knew when they would stab you in the back. What they said to your face and what they said when you weren't around could be totally different things. She much preferred horses. Cyanide would never intentionally hurt Misty. Sure, she had a little more energy that was healthy, but she was an ex-racehorse. It was to be expected.

Misty mounted Pixie and rode into the ring. She saw someone else there, riding a beautiful stallion. Misty wondered if the woman was the instructor for the lesson. She seemed to be the only student that had arrived so far. But that didn't matter. She didn't particularly care about any of the other riders. She pushed Pixie into a trot and warmed up around the outside of the ring, careful to stay out of the other rider's way. Pixie was quite spirited and shied a couple of times, testing Misty, seeing what she could get away with. But soon the mare was trotting nicely around the ring.

Misty sighed. It was nice to be riding again, but she still missed Cyanide. She wished she had been able to bring the mare. Of course, it was probably better to be riding a different horse for once. A new challenge. She asked Pixie to canter and brought her mind back to the present. To the horse. And the lesson. No time for daydreaming. She was here to ride.
